The UAS Student Council organized a public discussion as part of Europe Day celebration entitled How EU are you including a theme lecture and a panel discussion on the subject of The role of the EU in youth career development.
On December 16, 2016 the ceremonial sitting of the Advisory Board and the Management Board marked the end of the event which was organized to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the University of Applied Sciences Baltazar Zaprešić.
Mr. Đuro Horvat, Ph.D., a professor at the University College for Law and Finance Effectus, held an interesting guest lecture on the subject of wine marketing. He explained how to prove that Croatia, as the land of sun and sea, is also the land of good wine.

Introducing a hybrid online study at Baltazar
The University of Applied Sciences Baltazar has been systematically developing the academic culture for the past 15 years, applying the highest standards in the field of education. The U.A.S. Baltazar was one of the first higher education institutions which implemented the Bologna process, introduced the Moodle distance education system “Baltazar” and became the official Apple technology “lighthouse school” in education for this part of Europe. This year the University Baltazar has obtained the official permission for hybrid online courses from the National Council for Education.
Lifelong learning at Baltazar
This autumn the University of Applied Sciences Baltazar Zaprešić will launch a series of lifelong learning programmes designed for people who want to improve their business or personal skills or start their professional retraining. These highly specialised seminars will be held by renowned experts in their fields, and will take place on Friday and/or weekend. They will be content-focused, practical and aimed at skills development in accordance with the chosen subject matter.
Apple Lighthouse technology in tertiary education
Introducing iPad in the curriculum is a unique project of our University which enables students and teachers to have classes with emphasis on developing critical thinking skills, cooperation and creative innovation, aided by information and communications technology.
