General Data Protection Regulation at the UAS Baltazar Zaprešić - University of Applied Sciences

GDPR

The University of Applied Sciences Baltazar Zaprešić issued and adopted the Ordinance on Data Protection based on the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) which refers to the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data.

The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is the Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 which refers to the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data. The General Data Protection Regulation entered into force in all EU member states on May 25, 2018. With its enforcement, the former Act on Personal Data Protection is due to be repealed in Croatia.

Regarding this, as well as the fact that the University of Applied Sciences Baltazar Zaprešić processes the students’, employees’ and external associates’ data, the Management Board of the UAS Baltazar Zaprešić adopted and issued the Ordinance on Data  Protection, which was published on the UAS’s web pages and entered into force on May 24, 2018.

With the application of GDPR and the Ordinance on Data Protection, the UAS Baltazar Zaprešić will protect the safety of the processed students’, employees’ and external associates’ data from privacy or data breaches, in accordance with the highest technical, safety and organizational protection measures.
