Enrolment at the undergraduate professional studies

Pursuant to Article 77 of the Scientific Activity and Higher Education Act and the decision made by the Academic Council on February 27, 2017, the University of Applied Sciences BALTAZAR ZAPREŠIĆ from Zaprešić invites applications for admission to the undergraduate professional studies in the academic year 2017/2018.

Undergraduate professional study Business and Management in the scientific area of Social Sciences, the field of Economics, with three majors:

  • Business Economics and Finance (110 full-time students, 80 part-time students)
  • Cultural Management (15 full-time students, 30 part-time students)
  • Office Management (20 full-time students, 70 part-time students)

The university campus is based in Zaprešić, while part-time students are offered online courses as well. More details on online courses are available here.

Undergraduate professional study Information Technologies:

  • The number of admitted students at the undergraduate professional study Information Technologies in Zaprešić is 10 full-time students and 20 part-time students.

Undergraduate professional study Business and Management in Biograd na Moru

Branch campus in Biograd na Moru will admit 10 full-time and 25 part-time students at the study Business Economics and Finance.

About the study programmes

Professional title awarded with the qualification: Professional baccalaureus / baccalaurea of economics (back. oec) for the undergraduate professional study Business and Management, and Professional baccalaureus / baccalaurea of Business Information Technologies (bacc. inf. tech.) for the undergraduate professional study Information Technologies.

Duration of all study programmes: 6 semesters

ECTS credits for all study programmes: 180

Enrolment at the specialist professional graduate studies

Specialist professional graduate studies

  • Financial Management (50 full-time students, 45 part-time students)
  • Communications Management (15 full-time students, 35 part-time students)
  • Project Management (30 full-time students, 50 part-time students)
  • Public Sector Management (20 full-time students, 50 part-time students)

The study programmes Communications Management and Public Sector Management are held in 23 Lastovska Street, Zagreb

About the study programmes

Professional titles awarded with the qualification: professional specialist of Project Management (prof. spec. oec.), professional specialist of Communications Management (prof. spec. comm.), professional specialist of Financial Management (prof. spec. oec.), professional specialist of Public Sector Management (prof. spec. oec.).

Duration of all study programmes: 4 semesters

ECTS credits for all study programmes: 120

Terms and conditions of admission

Basic conditions for admission are:

  • Completed  four-year programme of secondary school education,
  • Passed national secondary school leaving exam (B level) or entrance exam at the University,
  • Signed contract with the University.

All candidates who passed the national secondary school leaving exam in the school year 2016-2017 and thus completed their four-year secondary school education will be directly enrolled at the University, without taking the entrance exam. These students submit an application for enrollment at the undergraduate professional study via National Information System of Application and Enrollment into Higher Education Institutions, available on the webpage www.postani-student.hr.

The candidates who previously passed the national secondary school leaving exam can also be directly enrolled at the U.A.S. without taking the entrance exam.  These candidates submit an application directly to the Student Administration Office in Zaprešić, 23 Vladimir Novak Street. The candidates for the branch campus Biograd na Moru submit their application to the Student Administration Office in the High school Biograd na Moru. Besides application, the candidates have to submit a certificate of nationality, birth certificate, secondary school certificates for all four grades and secondary school final examination certificate.

The candidates who are enrolling at the UAS via the national secondary school leaving exam can fill in an e-form after they receive their unofficial results. The results of the national secondary school leaving exam are expected to be obtained after July 12. Please submit the screenshot of unofficial results, completed e-form and other documentation to info@bak.hr.

For the candidates who take the entrance exam, an entrance procedure will be organised and conducted. It consists of an evaluation of their grade average in all four years of secondary school education and the results obtained in the secondary school final exam and the entrance exam. The entrance exam for all three majors at the undergraduate professional study Business and Management consists of a general knowledge and information test, while for the undergraduate professional study Information Technologies it will include Informatics, Mathematics and English language test.

The admission ranking list will be drawn up according to evaluation results of the secondary school grade average and the entrance exam.

Terms and conditions of admission - specialist professional graduate studies

Basic conditions for admission are:

  • Completed undergraduate professional/university study or a college/university degree equivalent to the professional title baccalaureus/baccalaurea, or completed graduate university study (at least 180 ECTS credits), or a professional baccalaureate with at least 150 ECTS credits, provided that the differential exams are taken
  • Signed contract with the University
